FAQ
Is this a sad group?
Not necessarily! We don't always talk about exclusively heavy topics. We do make space for those conversations and check in with each other. This is a place where we can come together and hang with others who have experienced loss. Our collective experiences can help us feel understood, heard, and more "normal" than holding in the heavy stuff.
I know someone who might be interested - can I invite them?
Yes you can!
FOR MEMBERS
You can invite someone directly to the private Facebook group. Your Moderator will evaluate all incoming applications directly.
FOR NON MEMBERS
Please share this site! Anyone wishing to join can contact the Moderator on the “Let’s Talk” page.
How does it work?
Send us an email, tell us a bit about you, then you’ll be invited to join our private Facebook Group. Once your application is accepted you’ll have access to our resources and links to our weekly meetings. Each week we check in with each other. Everyone gets a few minutes to talk through a “Fuck Yes” and a “Fuck That” from the week. Then we might talk about a specific theme like change or loneliness, or just let the conversation flow naturally. Either way, we hang out, talk, listen, and support each other.
Do i have to come every week?
Nope! The Moderator will host the group every week, but this isn't like a club where we're counting attendance. Come when you can, and we're always happy to have you. We'll do short introductions at every meeting so we get to know each other and new members every time.
What if I freak out?
That's ok! If you are overwhelmed at any point during a meeting, you can message your moderator, bring up your feelings to the group if you feel like sharing, mute your sound or your camera, or simply sign off. We know talking about traumatic experiences can be hard. Trust that all of us understand when people need their space - we all get it, and chances are we’ve been there too. We want you to feel safe and supported no matter what. We'll be here when you're ready.
What if i’ve never been in a support group before?
That’s cool! Don’t worry, we’ll show you the ropes.
